Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using StenoPad, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of StenoPad constitutes acceptance of any changes.

StenoPad is a note-taking application that stores notes locally on your device. Optional cloud sync is available through a paid subscription. We provide the service ‘as is’ and make no guarantees about availability, uptime, or suitability for any particular purpose. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. For paid subscriptions, we will provide reasonable notice before discontinuing sync services.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not share your account or use someone else’s account without permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for illegal purposes.

You retain ownership of all notes and content you create in StenoPad. We do not claim any rights to your content. You are responsible for the content you create and store. You grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the sync service. We do not access, read, or analyze your content except as required to provide technical support you request.

StenoPad offers optional paid subscriptions for cloud sync. Subscriptions are billed through the platform where you purchased (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or our website via Stripe). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled according to the policies of the platform where you purchased. We do not store your payment information directly.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caffeinated Softworks, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of StenoPad. Our total liability for any claims related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

StenoPad is provided ‘as is’ without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use StenoPad at your own risk. We strongly recommend maintaining your own backups of important notes.
