Privacy Policy

StenoPad is designed with privacy in mind. Your notes are stored on your device first, and only synced to our servers if you choose to create an account. You can use StenoPad completely offline with no account, and your data never leaves your device. When you enable sync, your notes are encrypted in transit. We store your notes on our servers to sync across your devices, but we do not access, analyze, or sell your note content.

Without an account: We collect no personal data. Anonymous crash reports may be sent if you opt in. With an account: We collect your email address for authentication and communication. If you subscribe, payment is processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe (web). We store subscription status but not payment details like credit card numbers. When using sync: Your notes, attachments, and related data are stored on our servers to enable sync across your devices.

Your notes remain on our servers as long as your account is active. If you delete a note, it’s moved to trash and permanently deleted after 30 days. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Notes on your device are under your control and are not affected by account deletion.
